GED Testing

In order to meet requirements set by 6A-6.0201, F.A.C. regarding an alternative method for earning an equivalency high school diploma. An individual may apply for  the Under-Aged GED Waiver applications if they are 16 or 17 years old through one of the two District options outlined below:

Option 1:

  • Proof of withdrawal from last school of attendance, and
  • Proof of an official GED Ready practice exam with a minimum score of 145 taken in a proctored environment within one year of the request, and
  • Proof of completing an exit interview with school or district staff, and
  • Submit Florida GED testing program underage waiver form to the department of teaching and learning.
OR

Option 2:

  • Proof of withdrawal from last school of attendance, and
  • Proof of enrollment in an Adult General Education Program and,
  • Proof of completing a minimum of 12 hours of instruction (in class) ,and
  • Proof of an official GED Ready practice exam with a minimum score of 145, and submit to the Adult Education department head, and
  • Proof of completing an exit interview with school or district staff.
TABE Testing

The Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) is administered free of charge to all students that enroll for classes. If you need to take the TABE test for entry into a program or job, we will administer it for a $20.00 fee. We conduct TABE testing sessions on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings at The Union County Adult School beginning at 6:00 PM. Please call for an appointment.
